WHAT ARE OUR CLASSES LIKE FROM A STUDENT PERSPECTIVE?
Genevieve Aguirre - Wig Making Enthusiast (Los Angeles USA)
"I had the pleasure of taking the 3day foundation making course with Tsiä in LA.
He is patient with his students and gives encouraging helpful feedback when needed.
With years of experience under his belt, he is always happy to answer any questions or give any helpful tips and tricks.
The class sizes are small so you really get the one on one attention.
He truly cares about his students succeeding and offers them all the tools needed.
I left the course feeling confident and so much more knowledgeable."
Thierry Meisel AKA Blake Danford - Drag Queen Superstar, Theatrical Costumier, and Wig Maker (USA)
"After becoming a fan of Tsiä’s incredible work on social media, I made a point to schedule a class during my (then) upcoming trip to the UK. This was the best choice I could have made.
Having taught myself some things, the Knotting class I took was unbelievably helpful when it came to breaking bad habits, and learning proper techniques, as well as important advice for the future.
I am forever thankful for being taught how to CORRECTLY hold a knotting hook, and avoid hand pain like I had experienced.
When I found out Tsiä was offering his foundation course in Southern California, I jumped on the chance. And once again, this was the best choice I could have made.
The knowledge that I gained under Tsiä’s incredible tutelage have unlocked countless professional doors for me, and has added an invaluable tool to my person toolbox.
I highly suggest that anyone who has the option to learn here, seize the opportunity.
You will not regret it."
Meraly Lopez - TV Hairstylist and Wig Making Enthusiast (NYC USA)
"I met Tsia back in 2019.
I took his 5 day intensive wig making course and absolutely loved it.
Not only was Tsiä super patient with me and took his time explaining everything in detail, he also help build my confidence in the skill.
He was encouraging and very generous with his time, he later on invited me to sit in on one of his classes he had in NYC and that helped me get even more comfortable with the material and improve my skills.
I will always be grateful for his generosity and dedication to his craft."
Christos Bairabas - Editorial Hair Stylist and Wig Maker (Athens, Greece)
"London Wig Making Classes is the perfect place if you want to learn real wig making!
In the five day course that I took part in, I learnt so many techniques that I could have never imagined!
The syllabus is quite easy to follow, and as an amateur wig maker myself, it set for me strong foundations.
The classes take place in a very friendly environment and I really liked that you can meet different people from different countries with whom I shared valuable opinions, experiences, and good jokes and by the end of the week great friendships!
Tsiä is a great teacher, very patient, really influential and literally a master in wig making -and on top of that he is a really kind person!
The location in Clapham is really nice, very close to the center of London and easy to get to.
It was a great experience and I hope that I can go back sometime to learn more !
Thank you for everything Tsiä"
Emie Otis - TV/Film Hairstylist and Wig Maker (Portland Oregon)
"I started following London Wig Making Classes on instagram about a year ago.
I was mesmerized by the craftsmanship and skill, and I daydreamed about being there and learning.
I decided to take the plunge.
I had already been working with wigs in my job for film and tv, and wigs were my special time.
I absolutely loved working with them and wanted to learn more.
Tsiä was so easy to communicate with in regards to booking. He was very quick to respond to any questions I had.
When I finally got to the class I was welcomed with out fuss but with sincerity, and I felt at home.
He's so knowledgeable and shares freely.
No question was stupid and nothing was off limits.
He was a fount of knowledge on the subject and has impeccable work and insists on that for his students as well.
I left with a moustache, and a gorgeous foundation, as well as some new friends.
I can't say enough good things about this man and his work, he is the real deal.
If you are looking to up your game in this field I highly encourage you in taking the plunge like I did.
You will not regret it!"
Shameka Spriddle - Hairdresser / Salon Owner and Wig Maker (NYC)
"I've had the pleasure of attending The London School of Wig Making / Five day Intensive Wig Making Course twice!
Each time my experience was wonderful.
The class is very much intense but full of valuable information about the art.
During my first class I was very much novice to the craft of professional wig making, and even with over 20 years in the cosmetology industry, I instantly turned into an insecure student.
Tsiä and his assistant Eleanor were really amazing with making me comfortable and reassured me that with more practice that I would definitely improve.
Tsiä offers incredible knowledge and has a very direct approach to teaching which I can appreciate!
I am indeed still a work in progress in my effort to master the art of wig making, and I look forward to the next opportunity to attend the next level of the program!"
Clémence Lhemanne - Professional MUA / Wig Maker (Switzerland)
"After taking a wig making course in France for 8 months, I was absolutely not satisfied with the techniques presented.
Whilst searching Instagram I found LWMC.
Speaking only very little English I immediately contacted Tsiä to ask him if he would accept me onto the course despite the language barrier.
It was with kindness that Tsiä accepted and I booked the 5 days course!
I learned far more than I expected during my time there, which restored my confidence and has only confirmed my interest for hand making wigs.
Tsiä is someone who is passionate and enjoys passing on his knowledge.
Even with the language barrier I felt comfortable and confident.
I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a strong wig making foundation, and I hope to return to London to continue to expand my skills further.
Thanks Tsiä"
Harriet Rogers - Wigs and Makeup Manager at The Northern Ballet
"I came across the 4 day course with LWMC after a recommendation from a friend who had also completed some training with Tsia.
After several years of specialising in wig styling, I had zero wig making or knotting experience which I had always been keen to learn.
The course with Tsia is extremely thorough.
It provides you with the knowledge of how to create a head cast and take accurate head measurements in order to complete a full lace wig foundation.
Tsia truly goes above and beyond for his students. I mentioned on my first day that I'd like to come back and learn how to add a quick front to a machine made wig.
As I was travelling down from Manchester to do the initial training, he knew I wouldn't be able to pop back to London easily to do this.
He ordered a wig and had it delivered for my last day of the course.
He then took the time to teach me the quick fronting process.
This was so useful and I now have the confidence to experiment with it myself.
I can't thank Tsia enough for his patience and generosity and I can't wait to put the skills I've learned into practice!"
Chantell Carrtherol - Wig Maker / Hairstylist (NYC)
"I found Tsia on Instagram while looking for inspiring wig-makers to follow.
I was thrilled to find out that he offered classes and was willing to share his wig-making knowledge. The wig making field can be an extremely hush-hush industry where wig makers often don't like to share, so it was a no-brainer for me to hop on a plane from New York to London to attend his class.
I have 5 years of wig-making experience, so he customized a 3 day intensive class for me that focused on the areas I needed to strengthen.
The workspace is equipt with all of the supplies needed to learn, and Tsia has gone above and beyond to make it a comfortable and welcoming space to learn.
I am looking forward to returning in the future for more classes!"
Holly Dixon - Character performer and Wig Making Enthusiast
"After looking for some time for wig making wig training in London, I found Tsia on instagram.
I did some research with other teachers, but felt LWMC was the most appropriate and it meant I didn’t have to travel far.
Tsia has been extremely patient and consistent through out, catering to each individual that has attended the same class as me.
Not once have I felt over shadowed, left behind or out of my depth.
I feel confident in using everything I have learned in the 5 day intensive class, and also appreciate knowing I have Tsia’s continuous support should I ever need it.
The home environment has been enjoyable, I felt very comfortable, and at ease.
All of the tools and materials were supplied and I appreciated working with tools I wouldn’t have been introduced to with other wig making schools.
I’ve loved my time with Tsia and Stella, and I know I’ll be back for more in the future."
Kitty O'Keefe - Wig Maker
"Coming from a costume background, wig making was completely new to me so I was very nervous about taking the course.. nervous that I wouldn't like it and nervous that I would just be totally useless at it.
Tsia is so kind and welcoming that I felt instantly at ease.
I went from having shaky hands on the first day to loving it so much by day 3 that I've missed being there every day since.
Tsia is a brilliant teacher.. strict enough to push you to keep perfecting your work and make something that you can be really proud of, but also so encouraging and positive.
I left the class feeling that there really could be a future in wig making for me and knowing that Tsia would always be there at the other end of the phone to advise me and help me along the way.
I will definitely be returning to share my progress with Tsia and hopefully to take some more classes with him as I work towards reaching a professional level and starting a new career.
Thank you so much for everything. Xx"
Karen Werther - freelance MUA and Wig Maker.
"A very relaxed enviroment with a very patient teacher who explains everything in a way that makes it very easy to understand.
Stella lying on your feet whilst this is all happening is just an added bonus.
I loved every minute of it."
Reece Howard - Illustrator and Wig Making Enthusiast
“As someone who suffers from social anxiety, this low key and easy going teacher/environment was perfect for me.
The teacher is very knowledgable and wants to make sure you get every penny’s worth of your time with him, so be prepared to work and take lots of notes!
Any one class will never be busier that 3/4 people at a time, so it’s very intimate and there’s lots of time for every student to have one-on-one teaching.
You’ll be accompanied by an old dame who’s name is Stella, a beautiful elderly bull terrier who is very well behaved.
If you’re a dog lover like me there’s nothing better than taking a break from work to pet a pooch!
The price of the course covers all materials you use and equips you with all the tools needed to start you off, and you’ll also pick up a few tips on how/where to source supplies for any of your own future wiggy exploits!
Honestly the best money I’ve ever spent, the whole course was worth it’s weight in gold and the amount of information you get is basically priceless!”
Bella Perez - Hairdresser / Wig Maker (Chicago USA)
"I initially met Tsiä during the New York five day intensive.
As someone with no prior wig making experience I was a bit nervous, but the course exceeded my expectations and inspired me to travel to London for the 4 week production class.
This course is hard work, but every effort was made to give me the best experience possible.
Because of the intimate setting, you are able to learn so much in such a short period of time.
Tsiä is a patient and skilled teacher. He breaks down the material in a way that is easy to understand and shows just how skilled he is at his craft.
On top of being a great teacher, he is an all around good person who is encouraging and great company.
By the end of the four weeks, I was so proud of all I was able to accomplish and had completed my first wig.
I began taking these courses with the hope of becoming a wig maker/stylist and Tsiä fully supported me, making sure I had all the tools to reach my goals.
The one on one experience I had is irreplaceable, I highly recommend London School of Wig Making."
